I had inherited this beautiful pine kitchen dresser from my parents a few years ago – it was their first kitchen cupboard from the late 60’s.
I have always loved it and dreamed of one day having it in my own kitchen since I was a little girl, but I though it was time to spruce it up a bit.
And here it is! Isn’t it dreamy?!
I bought 2 beautiful bird shapes from a craft shop and reverse-stenciled them onto the ply lower doors by sticking them to the door with Prestic and painting over it (I used Cotton Candy Paint in Bubblegum – a single coat does the trick!).
These little porcelain beauties are from Poetry – they have such a wonderful selection that you’re sure to find one you love.
I used a lovely polka dot gift wrap for the backing in the top part of the cabinet and fixed it with double-sided tape. I love how you can still see the tongue & groove paneling through it!
Some vintage accessories and my favourite tea-set complete the look.
It’s amazing what can be done in 30 minutes, don’t you think?!
