This blog is about everything HOME – how you live in it and how you make it yours. I want to inspire and empower you to create your ultimate home, one where you get nourishment not only for your body but also for your soul.
What started as a humble blog, soon grew into a budding enterprise and now, with 2 SA Blog Awards, 1 African Blogger runner-up award, a book, a TV show and numerous clients worldwide, I can honestly say that this is the most fun I’ve had in years!
Homeology shows you how to do things for yourself, whether through DIY articles, shopping pages, get-the-looks or inspiration. I have collaborated with various people in putting this blog together – this is by no means a one-woman enterprise! – and that is what keeps it fresh and exciting.
Ultimately a blog is for the readers, for YOU. So I really hope you love what I do here as much as I do and I appreciate all your support. I’d love to hear what else you would like to see here, so please don’t be shy! And if you think that you can contribute in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I always love to explore new ideas and collaborations!
Meet our contributing bloggers & makers!
Anélle is a mom of two who’s official job is that of Jewellery Lady, an exclusive collection of sterling silver jewellery imported from Mexico. But, in her spare time, she loves to bake, upcycle and find new ways of bringing colour into her life and home.
My favourite colour is “colourful”! Things I love most in my kitchen are my Kenwood Chef mixer, my new red SMEG oven and… my silicone spatula!
Deborah is a creative, always looking for new ideas to craft on a budget. Her blog, Pure Sweet Joy, includes crafts, DIYs, free printable downloads and blogging tips. By day she is a registered dietitian, wife and friend hoping to empower the communities around her to follow their passions and live a full, creative life.
Everyone has a creative side, sometimes it just needs to be found.
Kari is a creative at heart that loves pretty things and sharing pretty things with others on her blog, lovilee. Even thought she has a BSc in Mathematical Sciences and a background working in corporate, she has always loved to create things and make little handmade things.
I am so privileged to be able to run lovilee and share what interests me with others. I believe that if you do what you love you will love what you do!
Corporate gone creative is probably what best describes Aneen. Styling was a hobby and now it’s her day job! Table + Cloth, her new venture, creates modern & unique table settings, inspired by local design, that will transform your dining table whether for everyday use, calendar events or special occasions.
I am thankful for the opportunity to take a leap of faith into the creative world. To many more fabulous tablescapes!
