It’s the start of winter which means a few things: frost in the north, rain in the Cape and Father’s Day on 21 June! Many women have quite a challenge getting a Father’s Day gift idea together for their spouses (if like me your kids are young, that’s your responsibility!) and their own fathers. My husband’s answer in question to “do you need anything?” usually ends up being a) a book voucher, b) a card or c) anything. And while that’s quite helpful, I like to do something different to the usual “Best Dad in the World” coffee mug or woolie socks options.
I thought I’d show you an alternative Father’s Day gift idea: give the Dad in your life the ultimate present this year with a personalized den. Last year, I did a makeover for my husband’s office. It’s an amazing warm and comfortable space that he still loves. So taking that a bit furhter, here’s how to create this masculine room with lots of love, deep blues and warm leather.
The key feature to this look is the leather sofa. Tan leather gives a nice warm tone to the room while remaining masculine. The steel accessories lend an industrial touch and the carpet, scatter cushions and wall art add colour and pattern. Do try this at home – Dad will love it!
